Just watched this on tv, check in at 2:14 for the start of the song “At the Beach.” I know the sound is not that great, couldn’t find a better clip.
I really need to reread the old strips, its been so long and would love to see what they are like now that I’m older. Forget how dark it can get, they would never have a kids show this dark (material wise) out now.
I also watched part of A Boy Named Charlie Brown, which was on before this; it is the one where he goes to NYC to partake in a Spelling B and he gets depressed that he lost. And I just loved the line Linus used to chear him up at the end “”But did you notice something Charlie Brown?”
“What’s that?”
“The world didn’t come to an end.”
